Good idea but I don't see how this will ever get off the drawing board and put in use in an application.

If you could add an ignore posts by this user function that would be great.

I am done arguing with you, every single post that I see of yours is "Sony lies, Sony lies". I wish there was an ignore posts by this user button on the site.

I don't think anyone has TV's now that can accept 1080p inputs, unless you spend over $5000, but it's something called planning ahead. Or you could just use a PC monitor and get an adapter to convert it to VGA and then you'd have 1080p gaming. Not hard at all really. But yeah, HDTV's are finally starting to get into the 1080p market and will probably get huge in the next few years. For me it's like if you're buying a new graphics card for your PC, and you know that there's this new graphi...

Since it's multi-platform it will probably be about the same graphics wise. It will probably just be personal preference on your part. Sounds like a pretty good launch title, and I hope the game turns out well. Definitely looks like a rental for me though.

Yeah you might want to read the article. It doesn't help your cause any to say the least. The PS3 will still be able to output at it's highest resolution, 1080p, without having HDMI connections, and the Xbox 360 will be able to output at it's full resolution, 780p or 1080i, without an HDMI connection. That's good news for everyone, I don't see why people have to pounce on every article that comes out and spin it their way. THIS IS GOOD FOR GAMERS, PERIOD.

That being said, I...

You could say that Sony had a lot of failed media "solutions." But you could also say that they had a lot of successes including CDs, DVDs, DV tapes, Mini-DV tapes, super audio cds, etc. With successes come failures.

I really don't know where you're getting your figures about the RSX in the PS3 only being able to output at 24 fps at 1080p resolution. It seems like it would depend much more on the developers, the effects being used in the game, etc. There are alr...

Whoa, you're saying that Sony has dirty methods when compared with MS? This is the same company that makes Windows, right? The one that has a monopoly on the PC market, coming bundled with every PC.

I understand how people are saying your arms would get tired, but most devs have stated that the motion capabilities can be turned off if you prefer the dual analog controls. Me personally, I'll probably go for the motion capabilities to try something new. :)

The Toy Story comment was actually made by Microsoft, by the way (can't find the link right now, but someone else may be able to find it). The MGS4 has been said by Kojima to be real-time, in-engive footage. He proved this last year by manipulating the lighting sources and some other things in real-time. About the Motorstorm footage, if you think it looks like a PS2 game with some motion blur added, then I really don't know how to reason with that. If you can't see the differences as far ...

Agreed, I guess I can see why they're apprehensive about publishing it in the US with all the controversy over GTA: San Andreas and with several states getting pretty tough. The game sounds rather.. interesting.

I am just not into any of the Final Fantasy games or any RPG's for that matter. I know a lot of people are, but I just can't get into them. I just don't have the patience for them, and I think of myself as a patient person. I just don't have 50+ hours to devote to a game. The battles are just too slow paced and uninteresting for me. Maybe this will be the one that will get me into the series.

But what I did want to say is that it seems like most of the developers that ar...

That is pure flamebait. I am more excited for Killzone PS3 than Halo 3, but that is a personal opinion and everyone is entitled to their own. It makes it much easier to have discussions when people talk rationally.

And at TheMART- The pre-rendered footage from last years E3 is all there is as of now. Your point is valid until you say, "As with all of Sony is as normal. Lots of talk no deliver." We don't know if Guerrilla will deliver on Killzone PS3, they say th...

This was nowhere near close to the around 9 minute trailer that Konami showed at E3 for MGS4, in my opinion. But I agree with the above poster, I think what's soured the Halo franchise for me is all of the retarded Halo fanboys out there, there is more to FPS's than Halo! It is a well made franchise and I enjoy playing it, but then I get online and it just sucks reading a lot of nonsense from people claiming that every other FPS is teh suxorz.

Back to the video, I guess if th...

Everyone will still be able to play Blu-Ray games in 1080p through component input as long as they want. The HDCP will only be implemented (if it is) in movies and will be several years down the line. So if some of you are so uninterested in the PS3 as a Hi-Def movie player, then stop complaining, just buy the cheap one because you don't need the one that has HDMI output. But like I said, who knows if HDCP will actually be implemented, it may be something that the movie studios give up on ...

Ctlusinger - Very lame cutdown and also very old.

I hate how they kept saying that it was in-engine. I don't doubt that it was, but I'm wondering why they don't mention that it was rendered in real time. Obviously the in-engine cutscenes will look this good, but obviously you're not going to be controlling Master Chief when he walks to the edge of the cliff and whatnot. Regardless, the first trailer was cool, but I was a little let down when it was released because it didn...

That's because it has a huge bloated OS named Windows running behind it (side note, I'm a Windows user as well :)). It's also because the game is not optimised on PC for one type of PC. It's made to work somewhat well with most PC's, but if they were able to optimize it for one PC that had the same settings across the board and no bloated OS, you'd be surprised what they could do. But I don't think at all the GPU in the Xbox 360 is more powerful than the RSX in the PS3, the full specs for ...

Agreed with some of that, but you're comparing not finished PS3 games with 2nd gen Xbox 360 games or even with completed 360 launch games. This time next year we can have an argument over if PS3 games at that time look better than Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or Gears of War (which both look mighty fine, by the way). Kutaragi is just trying to make his point that it's not something like Nintendo that is strictly designed for games, he's marketing it more as a center for your home theater (hard d...
